After the AGM some of us went to the Linguistics Society AGM at 5pm which was followed by a screening of the movie CODA.

(Note: the following is still true for future AGMs!)

We are looking for executive members to fill several roles. 

Being an exec is:

• rewarding and fun 

  • see students start to learn Auslan 

  • work with other exec to run fun events

• a good learning experience 

  • working with interpreters 

  • event management 

  • finances 

  • admin 

  • mental health first aid 

  • marketing

• looks good on your CV 

• as much of a commitment as you would like it to be 

• a way to help other students learn Auslan and about the Deaf community
